hydrogenation

ISOCHEM routinely performs catalytic hydrogenations either directly with hydrogen or using a hydrogen donor such as formic acid derivatives or hydrazine ( transfer hydrogenation ).

A specific Biazzi equipment allows hydrogenation under pressures up to 35 bars and temperatures up to 140°C in total compliance with cGMP.

Some examples of developed processes include:
  •  Alcohols from carbonyl compounds
  •  Haloanilines from halonitrobenzenes
  •  Cyclohexanols from phenols
  •  Aldehydes from acid chlorides (Rosenmund)
  •  Dehalogenation (for protection and deprotection sequences)
  •  Debenzylation reactions
  •  Reductive amination
  •  Chiral hydrogenation
           hydrogenation

Catalyst currently used: Pd/C, Ru, Rh, Ni Raney, Pt

Any other catalyst including chiral ligands could be handled.
